Our Story

Yanku’s Care is a heartfelt tribute to our beloved grandmother, Madam Mamie Yankuba, a beacon of compassion and care. Born in Bo, Southern Province Sierra Leone, she dedicated over 25 years as a devoted midwife, ensuring the safety and comfort of countless women during childbirth. Her selflessness knew no bounds; she would readily sacrifice her own needs to ensure others were cared for.

In 2013, our lives were enriched when our grandmother joined us in America. Her nurturing spirit infused warmth into every moment, whether she was preparing our favorite meals or simply spending quality time with us. Her passing in March 2020 left a void in our hearts, but her legacy of love endures eternally.

Inspired by her favorite color, purple, we proudly name our company Yanku’s Care, a testament to her nurturing legacy and unwavering love. With each package, we aim to extend the same care and affection our grandmother exemplified throughout her life.
